- Consensus - proposal is a good approach - OK - Encoding Neutral - JTAPI-based attribute and value names - can support IPP, JDF Job Ticket, PWG Job Ticket, etc. - OK - Transport Neutral - neither IPP nor CUPS are required - optional bindings for IPP, PWG MFD Print, etc., are allowed - OK - Behavior Neutral - focus on UI semantics (button) - instead of mechanism (touch screen, hard button, voice command) - OK - Platform Neutral - focus on UI functionality (e.g., Print) - instead of hardware type (laptop, tablet, PDA, cellphone) - note that many tablets now mix hard and soft buttons - OK - Addressability - focus on screen resolution (e.g., 320x200) - instead of physical size (e.g., 7x10") - some small screens are high fidelity - OK - No extensions - focus on subset of JTAPI functionality - to simplify implementation and improve the user experience - To be determined - Bounded functionality - subset of JTAPI - e.g., leave out insert pages
