- Tim Waugh (Red Hat) answered request for CPD funding - he didn't forward funding request inside Red Hat - LinuxTag last week - Lars gave a talk about CPD with current status - Till gave a request for CPD funding after Lars' presentation - Till discovered a contact for Nokia community funding - No OP Japan issues for CPD currently (Toratani-san)
- Became available last week (drivers hosted at Avasys server) - Also fixed some minor bugs in OP site code (Till) - Next step is digital signatures work (Till) - Need a key for each manufacturer - Use postal mail to distribute encrypted CD with key material - Use telephone to transmit the password for decryption of CD
- Different config tools are packaged in different distros - Vendor might have to prepare different PPD for each major distro? - Correct IEEE 1284 Device IDs in PPDs should match correctly - Fuzzy matching algorithms are different in each tool (Till) - Possible OP library for standardized fuzzy matching? (Till) - Tools written in different programming languages (C, Perl, PHP) - Vendors should publish *correct* model values in 1284 Device IDs
